Carrousel Digital provides IP for digital security, quantum communication and quantum sensing. Our patented and patent pending Ips include a quantum safe Digital signature based on One Time pad, a process for transmitting information using entangled photon, through space or fiber, an associated QKD process, a passive photonic router routing the light without splitting the signal and a quantum radar. Our Ips belong to related companies and personal and might be developed by partner start-ups.

CORNERSTONE
The CORNERSTONE Photonics Innovation Centre (C-PIC) is the UK’s technology hub for silicon photonics. Our mission is to build a pipeline of silicon photonics enabled companies serving multiple industry sectors by 2030, underpinned by our open-source silicon photonics foundry. C-PIC offers flexible prototyping, design consultancy, start-up support, and networking events. In addition, £2m of flexible Innovation Funding will be deployed to grow and enrich the community in support of our mission over the next 4 years. We support all types of users with access to open source, licence free technology. We are an Innovation and Knowledge Centre, funded by EPSRC and Innovate UK We offer 7 technology platforms to support a wide range of applications including telecoms, sensing, LiDAR, quantum and more. Each platform has a standard component library, lowering the barrier to entry and enabling users to focus on applications. This flexible approach helps us to support early-stage R&D projects and successfully fabricate proof of concept prototypes.

National Dark Fibre Facility (NDFF)
The National Dark Fibre Facility (NDFF) is an UKRI-EPSRC National Research Facility, established in 2014 to enable researchers to develop the underpinning communications technologies for the future internet. NDFF provides a dedicated software defined optical fibre network at the physical layer (OSI Layer 1), with access points at Universities of Bristol, Cambridge, Southampton, Surrey, UCL and NPL, and interconnects to major internet exchanges, including the UK 5G+ Exchange at Slough and international connections at Harbour Exchange.
